Who We Are
At Cascade, we strive for a fully inclusive society – in which each individual is provided equal access to community services and gainful employment. We proudly provide the resources and one-on-one guidance necessary for those seeking assistance with independent living, securing employment and navigating the transition from high school to broader community life.
Cascade’s long standing relationship with the Jefferson County workforce provides us with a unique advantage when collaborating with local business. We relish the opportunity to help participating employers fill or create new positions, and also offer human resource consulting to those organizations looking to diversify their staff. Team with Cascade and see how our creative solutions can help accommodate and improve diversity within your workplace!
We believe that true self-empowerment lies in being an active participant in one’s community. Engaging in public activities, attending events and volunteering are all great ways to establish meaningful local connections. Let Cascade help you get started!
High School Transition Services
The transition from high school to life within the community at large, including the search for regular employment, can be a challenging one. Our ACE-IT high school transition services help juniors and seniors with developmental disabilities prepare for success.
The Transformative Power of Employment
We believe employment is critical to the development of self-worth and a deeper connection to one’s community.
For Job Seekers
Based on your vocational goals, our professional job developers seek out employment situations that meet your specific criteria. Our services are designed for those who seek paid work but need intensive training and ongoing support to achieve and maintain employment.
Develop the skills necessary to become more self-sufficient. We’ll cover utilizing public transportation, money management, and social skills. Cascade will identify your areas of interest and facilitate related local connections, leading to volunteer opportunities and chances to engage in community building activities.
Respite in Community Settings (RICS)
What do you like to do? Where would you like to go? What would you like to learn? We are now offering pre-planned or customizable field trips, outings, and community-based respite for small groups. Bowling, concerts, movies, museums, what interests you?
High School Transition Services
Our high school transition services are designed for students between the ages of 16 and 21 who are currently receiving educational services under an Individual Education Plan (IEP). Students work one-on-one with a job coach developing strategies to help them succeed in their designated vocational plan.
We provide recruitment, consulting, employee training, job analysis and coaching services at no cost to employers. Our professional staff will assist in utilizing the talents and skills of applicants with disabilities in your work place.
