Our Story

Cascade was developed in 2016 upon recognition of a gap in services for disabled individuals 18-21 years of age seeking job training and assistance with independent living skills. Since our founding, Cascade’s offerings have expanded to include High School Transition Services, Community Engagement Programs, Community Rehabilitation Programs, Individualized Supported Employment and Community Inclusion Services.

We value inclusion and diversity, and are guided by a strong passion to help those with disabilities achieve and maintain a meaningful and dynamic presence in their communities, living, working and thriving alongside their counterparts.

Cascade is awarded our first contract as the provider for an off-site High School Transition program and soon thereafter secured an additional contract with the Washington State Developmental Disabilities Administration (DDA) to provide Community Engagement services.

Cascade is awarded a contract with the Washington State Department of Vocational Rehabilitation (DVR) as a Community Rehabilitation Program, allowing us to provide Vocational Assessments and Job Retention services.

Cascade is awarded a contract with Jefferson County Public Health to provide Individualized Supported Employment and Community Inclusion services.

Our organization receives a 3-Year CARF Accreditation.

Our Community Engagement and Supported Employment programs serve a combined total of 60 Jefferson County residents. We also developed nine new paid positions within Jefferson County for individuals with developmental disabilities.

Despite the challenges presented by Covid-19, Cascade quickly pivoted our services to reach our clients virtually, helping to provide the technology needed to partake in virtual services and creating jobs for our clients within the Essential Worker sector.

Cascade is awarded the following new contracts, enhancing our services:

All Cascade staff became members of the local Kiwanis, Chamber of Commerce, and Rotary.

We became a Certified Woman Owned Business through the Office of Minority and Women’s Business Enterprises (OMWBE)

Cascade is awarded the Group Supported Employment program at the Jefferson County Transfer Station.

Cascade is awarded the Pre-ETS contract.

Our organization receives a new 3-Year CARF Accreditation.

We implemented the Pre-ETS program.

“Cascade brings an international standard of excellence and professionalism to social services in the state of Washington. The Cascade team is an exceptional group of individuals, devoted to the well-being of some of the most vulnerable members of society.”
